Interpolate co at 3AAA's Heads Up Football Tournament
On Friday the 14th September, we drove down to Middlesbrough FC Foundation’s Herlingshaw Center to participate in 3AAA’s Heads Up Football Tournament.
The tournament provided an opportunity for businesses up and down the country to network as well as providing a platform to help raise awareness of the importance of Mental Health in the work place.
Even though the day got off to a bad start with two teams dropping out of our group, we made the most of the opportunity to make sure we won the games we had to play to finish Group 4 top of the table.
Finishing the group stages in first place gave us a favourable draw (or so we thought) in the knockout stages. We would go on to play the runners up of Group 2.
After emerging from the group stages on a high we were quickly brought back down to earth with a difficult game in the Quarter Finals. We would go on to be beaten by a well drilled side who not only out played us, but out muscled us too. Injuries to Rhys Atkinson, our new Digital Marketing Apprentice, and Ben, our Managing Director, did not help.
Although we were dissapointed to be knocked out at the Quarter Finals, we were very happy to be invited by 3AAA’s, our Apprentice Training Providers, to participate in the tournament.
Thanks 304 Clothing and Chained + Able
A football tournament was the perfect opportunity for us to finally showcase our awesome football kits provided to us by our amazing friends over at 304 Clothing. We would just like to say a massive thank you to 304 Clothing for sending us the kit. Although we didn’t emerge from the tournament as winners, we certainly looked like them thanks to our eye-catching football kit.
We would also like to say a massive thanks to Robbie Scorer from Chained + Able for taking time out of his day to come along to the tournament and help us out. We wouldn’t of got as far as we did without him.
